Atreyu is a metalcore and post-hardcore band, consisting of vocalist Alex Varkatzas, guitarists Dan Jacobs and Travis Miguel, bassist Marc McKnight and drummer and vocalist Brandon Saller. The band was originally named "Retribution" but later changed their name to "Atreyu" after the character from The Neverending Story of the same name. Current Members Dan Jacobs – guitar Travis Miguel – guitar Marc McKnight – bass, backup vocals (2003 – present) Brandon Saller – drums, vocals Alex Varkatzas – vocals Former Members Kyle Stanley – bass guitar (1997/1999-2000(?); played on Visions), played in A Storybook Ending, Hideki and The Electric Youth. Brian O'Donnell – bass guitar (1998/1999-2001(?); played on Visions). Chris Thompson – bass guitar (2001 – 2003; played on Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses), now plays in the band Cold War.
